The registration process for verifying the advertising content of health supplements requires businesses to prepare a dossier in accordance with regulations, including an application form, legal documents related to the product, product labeling, and the proposed advertising content. If the advertisement includes claims beyond those declared in the product announcement, scientific evidence must be provided. All documents must be presented in Vietnamese; foreign-language materials must be translated and notarized.

The registration procedure is carried out at the authority that receives product declaration dossiers. Within a specified timeframe from the date a valid dossier is received, the authority reviews it and either issues a confirmation or requests amendments or additions once only. After the confirmation is granted, information about the product is published on the system managed by the competent authority. Businesses must pay appraisal fees as required.

Regarding food labeling, the law allows exemptions from certain mandatory labeling contents in cases such as personal gifts within duty-free limits, sample products, goods in transit, products used solely for manufacturing, or small packages with insufficient space for full information. Certain types of packaging and food containers are also exempt from specific labeling requirements.
